The categories of data we collect depend on the selected service and the way you interact with Qrent. We collect only the data necessary to provide a service, process a booking, ensure security, comply with legal requirements, or achieve other purposes described in this Policy.

Basic personal information: first and last name; date of birth; citizenship; country of residence; phone number; e-mail address; residential or temporary address; preferred language of communication; information related to messaging applications used for communication.

Documents: When necessary for a particular service, we may collect: passport or other identity document details; driving licence details; country of issue; expiry date; driving experience; International Driving Permit details; details of other documents required for the booking or provision of a service. We do not request documents that are not required for the selected service.

When an order is placed, we may collect information about: the selected service; dates and times; number of participants; vehicle pickup location; transfer departure and destination points; pickup and drop-off addresses; place of accommodation; selected vehicle; selected accommodation; selected tour or excursion; additional services; special requests; booking, modification and cancellation history.

If a service is connected with an airport, railway station, or other transport hub, we may also collect the flight number, arrival or departure time, and other information necessary to provide the service.

When booking a transfer, tour, excursion, accommodation, or another group service, the user may provide information about other participants in the booking. Depending on the service, this may include: first and last name; age or date of birth; contact details; luggage information; information required to organize the trip or accommodation; special requests.

By providing Qrent with another person's data, the user confirms that they are entitled to provide such information and, where required, have informed that person about the processing of their data.

When booking and renting a vehicle, we may additionally process: driving licence details; driving experience; information about additional drivers; selected vehicle; pickup and return dates and locations; mileage; fuel level; selected insurance package; additional services; rental extension information; information about fines; information regarding the condition of the vehicle at pickup and return.

If permission is arranged for the vehicle to leave Armenia, we may process data required for preparing a power of attorney, insurance, notarization, and compliance with border requirements.

When booking a transfer, we may process: the customer's name and contact details; number of passengers; pickup address or location; destination; date and time of the trip; flight number; luggage information; child seat requirements; additional requests; passenger details where necessary to perform the booking.

To provide the transfer, the necessary data may be disclosed to the driver or transportation partner who performs the trip. Only the information necessary to fulfill the specific booking is disclosed.

When booking a tour or excursion, we may process: the customer's contact information; number of participants; participants' names where necessary; participants' ages or age categories; date and itinerary; meeting or pickup location; selected additional services; other information required to organize the specific excursion or tour.

If passport or other information is required to enter a particular site, cross a border, issue a ticket, or provide another part of the tour, Qrent may request such information separately.

Necessary information may be disclosed to a guide, carrier, museum, attraction, ticket operator, or another partner involved in fulfilling the booking.

When booking accommodation, we may process: customer details; check-in and check-out dates; number of guests; guests' names where necessary; guests' ages; contact details; selected accommodation; special requests; information necessary for check-in; document details where collection is required by law or accommodation rules.

To fulfill the booking, necessary information may be disclosed to the property owner, management company, or another accommodation provider.

The user may voluntarily provide additional information, for example regarding a child seat, extra luggage, accessibility requirements, dietary requirements, or other travel-related needs. Some such information may potentially contain sensitive personal data.

Please do not provide Qrent with sensitive personal data unless it is genuinely necessary to perform the requested service. If such information is necessary to provide the requested service, we use it only to the extent required.

When handing over and receiving back a rental vehicle, Qrent may take photographs and video recordings of its condition. Such materials may be used to confirm: the condition of the vehicle; pre-existing damage; completeness of equipment; condition upon return; circumstances of an incident; resolution of disputes.

For other services, photographs or videos may be created only where necessary to provide the service, ensure safety, document an incident, or with the user's separate consent.

In the event of a road traffic accident, vehicle damage, theft, insurance claim, incident during a transfer, tour, or another service, we may collect: information about the circumstances of the incident; photos and videos; police documents; insurance documents; information about the persons involved; witness information; statements and correspondence; other information required to review the incident.

This data may be used for interaction with insurance companies, public authorities, and other parties involved in resolving the incident.

When making a payment, Qrent may receive: payment amount; currency; payment date; payment method; payment status; transaction identifier; refund information; other information necessary to account for the payment.

When payment is made by bank card, card details may be processed directly by the bank or payment provider. Qrent does not request or store the CVV/CVC code of a bank card in its contracts or own databases.

When a user contacts Qrent by phone, e-mail, messaging application, social network, or another communication channel, we may retain information about the inquiry and the correspondence. It may be used for: fulfilling an order; customer support; resolving issues; handling complaints; quality control; protecting the rights of the user or Qrent.

When using Qrent.am, certain technical information may be transmitted automatically. This may include: IP address; device type; browser; operating system; language; approximate region; date and time of visit; pages viewed; referral source; actions performed on the website; technical identifiers; cookies and similar technologies.

Such information is used for website functionality, security, analytics, and improvement of our services.

Most personal data is provided directly by the user. Information may also be obtained: through Qrent.am; by phone; by e-mail; through messaging applications; through social networks; from payment organizations; from insurance companies; from partners; from booking platforms; from travel service providers; from property owners and property managers; from transport companies; from public authorities; from other participants in the booking.

If an order is placed through a partner or a third-party platform, Qrent may receive from them the information necessary to fulfill the order.

Personal data may be used for: searching for and displaying suitable services; making a booking; confirming an order; entering into and performing a contract; renting a vehicle; organizing a transfer; organizing a tour or excursion; booking accommodation; providing additional services; identifying a customer; communicating with a customer; processing payments and refunds; arranging insurance; preparing required documents; customer support; handling incidents and complaints; preventing fraud and abuse; ensuring security; complying with legal requirements; improving the website and services; analytics and statistics.

We aim to use only the amount of information genuinely necessary for the relevant purpose.

Depending on the circumstances, Qrent processes personal data: to take steps at the user's request before an order is placed; to arrange and perform a booking or contract; to provide the requested service; with the user's consent; to comply with legal requirements; to protect the rights and legitimate interests of Qrent, the user, or third parties where permitted by law.

Where processing is based on consent, the user may withdraw such consent in accordance with applicable law. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal and does not prevent further processing where another legal basis exists.

Some services on Qrent.am may be provided directly by Qrent, while others may be provided with the involvement of independent partners. These may include: car rental companies; drivers and transport companies; guides; travel companies; property owners; property management companies; hotels and other accommodation providers; insurance companies; notaries; museums and tourist attractions; ticket operators; other service providers.

Where a partner is required to fulfill an order, Qrent may provide that partner with the information necessary specifically for the fulfillment of that order. For example, a transfer driver may receive the customer's name, phone number, meeting time, pickup location, route, and flight number, while an accommodation provider may receive booking details and information necessary for check-in.

A partner may independently process the received data in accordance with applicable law and its own privacy policy.

In addition to direct service providers, personal data may be disclosed to:

Banks and payment providers — for payment processing, refunds, fraud prevention, and resolution of payment disputes.

Insurance companies — for arranging insurance and handling insurance claims.

Public authorities — police, courts, tax authorities, border authorities, and other competent authorities where disclosure is required by law or necessary in connection with an incident.

Technical service providers — companies providing: hosting; cloud storage; website operation; e-mail services; messaging services; customer support; information security; analytics; accounting and legal services.

Such recipients receive only the information necessary to perform the relevant function. Qrent does not sell customers' personal data.

Qrent provides travel and transportation services, so certain bookings may require personal data to be transferred outside the Republic of Armenia. For example, this may be necessary in connection with: an international transfer; a vehicle trip outside Armenia; an international tour; accommodation or another service booked abroad; the use of an international payment system; the use of cloud-based or technical services.

Data is transferred only to the extent necessary for the relevant purpose and where an appropriate legal basis exists. Qrent complies with applicable requirements of the laws of the Republic of Armenia concerning cross-border transfers of personal data and, where required, applies additional safeguards prescribed by law or obtains the necessary authorizations.

Qrent may use analytics and advertising services, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, as well as similar technologies. They help us understand: how users find the website; which services users are interested in; which pages are visited; how the website is used; which advertising campaigns result in bookings; how the website and advertising can be improved.

Depending on the user's consent settings, such services may use cookies, technical identifiers, IP addresses, device information, and information about user activity on the website. Non-essential analytics and advertising technologies are used in accordance with the user's consent settings and applicable requirements.

Qrent.am uses cookies and similar technologies. They may be necessary for: proper operation of the website; saving user settings; security; analytics; measuring advertising effectiveness; improving the user experience.

Necessary cookies may be used to operate the website without a separate user choice where permitted by law. Consent may be requested for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies. Qrent may send special offers, news, and promotional messages only where and in the manner permitted by applicable law. Where separate consent is required, it will be requested separately. The user may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not affect service messages required to fulfill a booking, such as booking confirmations, driver information, schedule changes, or vehicle return information.

Qrent may use information about previous bookings, selected services, and website usage to improve the user experience and provide more relevant information and offers. Where consent is required for a particular type of personalization or advertising profiling, such processing is performed only after consent has been obtained.

Qrent does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that have significant legal effects on the user, unless the user is expressly informed otherwise and such processing is permitted by law.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. The retention period may depend on the type of information and the need to: fulfill a booking; perform a contract; maintain accounting or tax records; handle an insurance claim; process a fine; resolve a dispute or complaint; prevent fraud; comply with legal requirements; protect Qrent's legitimate interests.

Once there is no longer a need to retain the data, it is deleted, destroyed, blocked, or anonymized in accordance with applicable requirements.

Qrent takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against: unauthorized access; unlawful use; accidental loss; alteration; disclosure; copying; destruction.

Access to personal data is granted only to employees and service providers who require such access to perform their relevant duties. However, no method of storing or transmitting information can provide absolute security.

In accordance with applicable law, the user may have the right to: find out whether Qrent processes their personal data; obtain information about the purposes and legal bases of processing; obtain information about the personal data being processed; obtain information about recipients of the data; access their personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request blocking or deletion of data where provided by law; request termination of certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; contact the competent authority to protect their rights.

To protect personal data, Qrent may request verification of the applicant's identity before fulfilling a request.

Certain information is necessary to provide a specific service. For example, a booking cannot be confirmed without contact details, a vehicle cannot be rented without a driving licence, and a transfer cannot be performed without a destination address.

The user has the right not to provide such information; however, in that case, the relevant service or part of it may be unavailable. Additional information that is not necessary to fulfill the order is provided voluntarily.

Qrent is not intended for the independent conclusion of contracts by minors where such contracting is not permitted by applicable law.

When booking family trips, accommodation, tours, transfers, or other services, an adult user may provide the necessary information about a child, such as their name, age, or date of birth, where required to fulfill the booking. Such data is used only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant service and comply with legal requirements.

Qrent.am may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, maps, social networks, payment systems, and other services. Such services may independently determine how they process personal data. Before using a third-party service, we recommend reviewing its privacy policy.

Qrent may add new travel, transportation, accommodation, and related services in the future. This Policy applies to new services where the nature of personal data processing is consistent with the purposes described in this Policy.

If a new service requires a substantially different type of personal data processing, Qrent will update this Policy and, where necessary, provide users with additional information or request separate consent.

Qrent may update this Policy from time to time due to changes in legislation, website functionality, available services, partners, or personal data processing practices. The current version is always published on Qrent.am. The date of the latest update is stated at the beginning of this document.
